Placement Testing & Advising Program for Incoming Freshmen

Prior to the start of each academic year, our Admissions Office holds several Placement Testing and Advising Programs. This is a required program for all incoming freshmen. Placement exams in mathematics and communications skills will be administered. You can't study for these tests, so don't get stressed about them! In addition, you'll attend other informational sessions about scheduling procedures, graduation requirements and more. The formal program runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and optional campus tours follow the program. Remember that check-in begins promptly at 8 a.m and casual dress is recommended. You must remain in attendance for the entire program. Please note that there is a $30 fee to attend this program.
Parent Program
While your child is participating in the required program, you can learn more about Robert Morris University. You will have the opportunity to meet members of our faculty, staff and administration, who will share information about RMU and its programs. Various informational sessions are offered to enable you to better understand the challenges and pressures students face when moving from high school to college. For your convenience, we've scheduled these sessions to run concurrently with the Placement Testing and Advising Program. We highly encourage you to attend.
